An Autumn Trip

Last October Tom and his school group went on a trip to the countryside. They left school early in the morning and travelled by bus. When they arrived, they saw fields, forests, and hills covered with yellow and red leaves. Their teacher showed them different kinds of trees and explained how animals live in the forest in autumn. Tom took notes for his school report.

After lunch the group walked to a small lake. Some children drew pictures of the water and the trees, while others collected leaves for their school project. Tom and his best friend played a game of hide and seek behind the big trees. On the way back they sang songs together. Tom said he wanted to go on another trip in spring.
