Spring Festival

Last April Kate and her family went to the town festival. There were many colourful tents and people selling food, toys, and clothes. Kate tried pancakes with honey and bought a small bracelet. Her younger brother played games and won a toy car. Their parents listened to music played by a local band. Everyone enjoyed the warm spring weather.

In the afternoon, Kate and her family watched a parade. People in bright costumes walked along the main street, and children waved flags. Some dancers performed on a stage, and singers sang popular songs. In the evening there were fireworks. Kate said it was the happiest day of her spring holidays.
