At the Seaside

Last summer Maria went to the seaside with her parents. They stayed in a small hotel near the beach. Every morning Maria swam in the sea and collected shells on the sand. Her father played volleyball with other tourists, and her mother read books under an umbrella. Maria said she liked the sea air because it made her feel healthy and strong.

In the afternoon the family often walked along the promenade. Sometimes they ate ice cream, and sometimes they went to the harbour to watch the boats. One day Maria’s father took her on a short boat trip. She saw many seagulls and took photos. On the last evening they watched the sunset over the sea, and Maria thought it was the most beautiful part of the holiday.
