Hercules

Once there lived a hero named Hercules. He was born to the mighty god Zeus and a mortal woman named Alcmene. Hercules had incredible strength, bravery and clever mind. He embarked on a fantastic journey filled with incredible challenges known as the Twelve Labours. Each task was more difficult than the last, but Hercules was determined to prove his worth and protect his homeland.

The first of Hercules' adventures brought him face to face with the fearsome Nemean Lion, a beast with skin too tough for any weapon to pierce. Armed only with his courage, Hercules fought the lion with his own bare hands and wore its skin as a cloak. In another challenge, he had to capture the Golden Hind, a magical deer that could outrun any creature. With patience and skill, Hercules followed the deer for a whole year before finally catching it.

Among his other feats, Hercules defeated the monstrous Hydra, a serpent-like creature that grew two heads for every one he cut off! He cleverly used fire to prevent the heads from regenerating. He also cleaned the Augean stables in a single day by redirecting two rivers — a creative solution that proved his being smart. The legend of Hercules teaches people never to give up when faced with challenges.

Subject: Getting to school

... Yesterday I missed our school bus and had to take public transport in order not to be late for the lessons. It wasn't bad but it took me more time to get to school.
Is your school far from your house? How do you get to school? How long does it take you?
Write back soon.
Best wishes,
Thomas
